Sherrine Peyton
Sherrine Peyton has over 25 years of expertise in community organizing, strategic planning, and project management. With a profound background in collaborating with communities, states, tribes, coalitions, and organizations, she addresses substance use and intersecting public health issues s.

Guided by a results-driven and forward-thinking approach, Sherrine Peyton applies decades of experience in public health and community collaboration to modern challenges. Through Peyton Consulting, LLC, she helps organizations leverage data, technology, and strategic insight to strengthen prevention systems and long-term sustainability. Her leadership continues to inspire new ways of thinking about community well-being, accountability, and impact.
She is the founder of the Communities for Positive Youth Development Coalition (CPYD), recognized as a CADCA Blue Ribbon Coalition and Coalition of the Year winner in 2023. Peyton is also a recipient of the Cook County Commissioners’ Unsung Heroine Award and served as Illinois’s first Statewide Opioid Settlement Administrator from 2022 to 2023.
Currently, she serves on SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention National Advisory Council and on the Board of Directors for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. As founder and principal consultant of Peyton Consulting, LLC, she integrates artificial intelligence into prevention science, training, and strategic planning—helping organizations modernize data analysis, reporting, and program design. Peyton’s proven leadership and innovation make her a trusted partner for organizations dedicated to improving health and well-being for all.
